How exchanges work
Which variants customers can choose and what happens when an exchange is approved.
What customers can choose
Customers can exchange an item for another variant of the same product that is in stock and has the same price, for example another size or color.
After approval
The approved return includes the new variant as an exchange item, so Shopify can fulfill it from the same order without a new order.
